The book Once  is based on the Holocaust. It is about a boy named Felix who escapes from an orphanage. Felix saves a girl named Zelda from a building that was set on fire by the Nazis. Zelda and Felix start walking towards the city in search of their parents. When the children reach the city they are told that Felix's parents were taken by the Nazis and that Zelda's parents were killed by the Nazis. The children were forced into hiding.
