COVENTRY E-BLASTS

Coventry e-Blasts (October 31):

*In the interest of public safety Coventry Town officials strongly recommend within the Town of Coventry that active trick-or-treating be delayed until Friday, November 4th. We have concerns with downed power lines, hanging tree limbs, and lack of lighting. Help us keep Halloween a safe and fun event by following these recommendations. The Town will be issuing public notices throughout the week to help residents be prepared to greet trick-or-treaters on Friday.

*Coventry Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, November 1, 2011 due to hazardous conditions. There will be no out-of-town transportation. Decisions regarding school opening or closing for the remainder of the week will be made on a daily basis, with student and staff safety being a priority.
*Prolonged power outages anticipated. Warming center and charging station at Town Hall Conference Room B. Showers available at Coventry High School -- bring own towel and toiletries. Water available at Town Hall Annex side entrance -- bring own containers. Brush debris drop off at gravel pit South St. Ext. near Miller-Richardson field until 5 PM daily. Overnight shelter available at Mansfield Community Center, Intersection Rt. 275 and Rt. 195 -- arrive by 8:30 PM.
